By ordering from Lil Moon Bakery, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
The images on the website and shared before during the consultation are examples and used as references. All our products are hand made and can be ordered in different sizes from those shown in the picture, your cake may have variations from the image.
CAKE DESIGN
After all cake designs and details are agreed upon and confirmed(verbally or written),weaskthatyougiveus10%roomforpossiblechangesonthedesignwhenwe actually create the cake. Any changes requested after the confirmation cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. Every cake design is uniquely made so after all the “paper” discussions, how it translates to an actual cake might be slightly different. After completing the cake, we therefore may feel that it might need a slight tweak to stay true to your original concept and make an executive decision on delivery day. (Ultimately we know you want the cake to look good!) This often means we may add a little something extra at our own cost.
Any images or sketches provided as part of the description of similar goods is given for illustrative purposes only. Given the nature of the goods, uniqueness of each cake design and weather changes, minor variations of design, colour shades,may apply. We reserve the right to change the design at any point if circumstances beyond our control compromise the quality of the finished product. e.g. weather conditions. The client will be notified of any such changes and we will endeavour to keep any changes minimal.
ALLERGENS
Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. And we are not a nut-free kitchen. Please refer to the allergen page on our website and check with us if unsure. It is your responsibility to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS
We require a full prepayment for your bespoke order at least 2 days prior to the delivery date.
WeddingCakes: We will provide an estimation quote and let you know our availability if we could work with you. Then we require a £100 non-refundable deposit to hold the date continue with the design work. The tasting box is complimentary (only available during non-peak seasons). Onsite tasting & consultation is subject to availability. The final balance specified on the invoice must be paid by the Buyer at least 4 weeks before the delivery date. Failure to complete payment 4 weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled and your date being made available to someone else.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
For a full refund, cancellation must be made within 24 hours of placing your order as we may bake your orders straight away depending on the design and quantity. To cancel your order please contact yue@lilmoonbakery.co.uk. Verbal communication is not acceptable for cancellation. We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled after 24 hours of your bookings. If you would like to change your date, we will do our best to accommodate.
For Wedding Cakes: Deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances due to any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on that date. The remaining payment is not refundable with less than 4 weeks’ notice. In the unlikely event that your event date is changed, we will do our best to accommodate the new date subject to availability. Admin charge may incur for any amendements.
NON EDIBLE INGREDIENTS & DECORATIONS
Our cakes sometimes contain non-edible items, such as internal support dowels in tall or tiered cakes, and decorative items such as fresh flowers or cake toppers. These will be informed at consultation and must be removed before serving or eating.
Please note the fresh flowers and other cake toppers are subject to change due to seasonality and other factors out of our control. For wedding cakes, we will always try to match with your floral choices, however, we cannot guarantee the exact choices if we were to source flowers ourselves.
STAND & PROPS HIRE
We have a selection of stands and props to make your wedding day more special,and it ranges from £10-£50.It is your responsibility to return any borrowed items back within 7 working days, otherwise,a late fee will incur. We do not take a deposit for the hire, however, it is your responsibility to look after the hired item, any damages or loss will need to be paid based on the original purchase price of the item.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
We cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake once we have delivered or and set up at the venue. If the cake or products are collected from us, we cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products once they have left our premises. The collection vehicle should have a flat surface and be clean and tidy. This is the responsibility of the Buyer. The cake or products can be very fragile so we advise you to drive very slowly and carefully and use non-slip matting. We will always endeavour to deliver within the given time slot, however unfortunately delivery timings cannot be guaranteed. Refunds will not be given for delayed deliveries. If in the unlikely event the delivery is delayed, we will always endeavour to deliver the cake to you as close as possible to the given delivery time.
Performance of this agreement is contingent upon our ability to complete the Agreement and is subject to labour disputes or strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. Lil Moon Bakery LTD is registered in England. All right reserved by us.
