Hello, I'm Yue, the cake designer and the founder of Lil Moon Bakery.

For me, Lil Moon Bakery is more than a cake shop - I love to push the boundaries of the edible art, combining the delicate and unique flavours with modern cake artistry.

Over the years, I honed my crafts and skills through hours of self study and learning from the best designers and patissiers in the industry, including Lima Cakes and Marina Machado.

Since its establishment in 2020 lockdown summer, Lil Moon Bakery has proudly served over 500 hundred cakes beautiful people across London.

Inspired by nature,

led by flavours ...

Nature inspires my work, from colourful seasonal flowers to stylish architectural details, the combination for cake designs are endless.

I am also proud that flavours are the big focus at Lil Moon Bakery. Lacking of flavour is soulless no matter how beautiful the cake is. I specialise in combining delicate oriental flavours and techniques into my beautiful designs, which often results in lighter and less sweet cakes - luxurious flavours with honest ingredients.

What I stand for...

My personal and business ethos and value revolve around equality and sustainability.

With a masters degree in sustainability, I am always conscious about decisions throughout running the business, from ingredient sourcing to delivery carbon footprint. Becoming a sustainable business is a long journey, and there's no quick fix. But I believe small changes over time could bring profound results and make the world we live in a better place.

I am also a proud partner with 'Free Cakes for Kids' and support their mission of making every child feel special on their birthday, regardless of their circumstances. Together, we can make a positive impact on our community and help to create a brighter future for all.

I am originally from Hangzhou, a beautiful lake city in South China and moved to the UK as an international student.
I have a black and white cat called Muer, which means 'wood ear mushroom' in Chinese.
Before starting my business, I am a customer insight consultant and researcher, helping companies understand their customer journey and connect with their customers. Hopefully working with me will feel like an easy journey
